Footpath frenzy at Greenslopes State School

Footpath frenzy Greenslopes State School

There was footpath frenzy around Greenslopes State School this term as students celebrated the opening of a new footpath and scooter racks.

The school's Active School Travel Committee identified the need for the new section of footpath to allow students to walk and ride to school from the local sports fields and Norman Creek Bikeway. Students use this route to walk to the sports fields for school sport.

Students, staff and parents and carers walked and rode together through a glitter curtain to celebrate the footpath opening.

The school's new scooter racks are conveniently located in front of the Prep building. They have been full to overflowing since they were installed and allow scooter-mad students to park their scooter before going to their classrooms.
