Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School took the opportunity to ensure all their students practised their road safety skills through the RACQ Streets Ahead program.
Each year, schools around the state compete for places on the Streets Ahead program, with RACQ giving our Active School Travel (AST) schools priority to help ensure students have road safety skills to actively travel to school.
The Streets Ahead program includes four age-appropriate presentations covering road safety themes including passenger, pedestrian and bicycle safety.
All RACQ Education Officers are qualified teachers who enthuse and educate students through a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, interactive activities and meaningful discussions.
For younger students, their specially designed road map gives students the ability to learn correct road safety behaviours and practice crossing the road safely. For older groups, the RACQ Education Officers demonstrate the importance of responsible behaviours and safety equipment including helmets and seatbelts, through engaging lessons.
AST partners with RACQ each year to deliver these essential programs. If you’re yet to book a session, contact David Terry from RACQ.
