Join the Active School Travel program

Active School Travel is a three-year, award-winning Brisbane City Council program designed to educate and motivate students, parents and teachers to reduce car use and actively travel to and from school.

The free program is for primary schools who want healthier, more active students and parents; greater road safety awareness among students and families, safer streets and reduced traffic congestion at the school gate.

Applications to join the Active School Travel program in 2024 have closed.

If you are a member of the community who would like to suggest a school to join the Active School Travel program in 2025, you can complete our brief expression of interest form. Expressions of interest are open all year round.
