Brisbane City Council's active public transport projects improve our public transport, bikeways and shared bicycle and pedestrian pathways.

Central 

  • Spring Hill School Street crossing improvements
    This project improved safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists. The project was completed in early October 2017.

North

  • Banyo Nudgee Bikeway Bridge replacement project
    This project enhanced safety and improves connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists. The project was completed in early August 2017.
  • Bridgeman Downs - Albany Creek Bikeway project - Darien Street
    This project improved safety and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists accessing the local bikeway network and local amenities. It was completed in November 2017.
  • Bridgeman Downs - Cabbage Tree Creek Bikeway project
    This project created a high quality, connected and accessible recreation and commuter route for residents of the northern suburbs of Brisbane. It was completed in July 2017.
  • Chermside to Aspley - North Brisbane Bikeway project
    This project created a high quality, connected and accessible recreation and commuter route that improves access to the local network and amenities. It was completed in September 2017.
  • Stafford Heights - Downfall Creek Bikeway project
    This project improved safety and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists accessing the local bikeway network and local amenities.It was completed in July 2017.

  • Salisbury - Salisbury Bikeway: stage 2
    This project provided a direct commuter cycle route from Salisbury to the Brisbane Central Business District. It was completed in November 2017.
