Brisbane City Council is pleased to advise that works to upgrade the retaining wall and embankment at 205-207 Gladstone Road in Highgate Hill are now complete.

About the project

The project has improved the stability and visual amenity of the embankment by reconstructing the retaining wall and providing a safer route for pedestrians and cyclists.

These works also included relocating public utility services and installing new fencing.

Four trees were removed to facilitate construction and re-planting and landscaping will be undertaken in the local area in accordance with Council offset policies and legislative requirements.

The car parking spaces used to facilitate the construction works are available again for use.

Council would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation while these important works were undertaken.
