Brisbane City Council has completed works to upgrade the drainage infrastructure on McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley to improve the stormwater system and increase future flood immunity.

About the project

Council is pleased to advise works to upgrade the drainage infrastructure on McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley are now complete.

The project involved excavating and removing existing drainage pipes and replacing with new higher capacity pipes to improve the stormwater system and future flood immunity. 

Works began on Sunday 27 May and were completed on Sunday 17 June, 2018.

Council would like to thank the local community for their patience and cooperation while works were undertaken.
