Kangaloon Street bridge replacement - Jindalee

Brisbane City Council is pleased to announce the replacement of the pedestrian bridge off Kangaloon Street in Jindalee, providing access into the Jindalee Recreation Reserve. The existing bridge is nearing the end of its serviceable lifespan and in order to maintain a safe crossing, the bridge will be replaced.

About the project

The project is currently progressing through the design phase and is planned to involve:

  • replacing the existing pedestrian crossing
  • upgrading the footpath in the vicinity of the bridge
  • embankment stabilisation
  • landscaping works.

Council is committed to keeping local residents informed and will provide more information to the community as the design progresses. Construction of the project is expected to start in early 2019, weather and site conditions permitting.
