Newmarket Road, Cox Road, Green Terrace intersection investigation works - Windsor
Brisbane City Council is undertaking investigation works to inform design options for a potential future upgrade of the Newmarket Road, Cox Road and Green Terrace intersection in Windsor.
|Address||Newmarket Road, Cox Road and Green Terrace, Windsor|
|Project outcome||Investigation works to inform design options for a potential future intersection upgrade to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety for road users|
|Latest update||Investigation works started on 31 October 2018 and are likely to take eight weeks to complete|
Investigation works are planned to be undertaken intermittently from Thursday 31 October 2018 to Saturday 22 December 2018, Monday to Saturday between 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.
Some works will be undertaken at night when traffic volumes are lowest to minimise disruptions, meet traffic permit requirements and ensure the safety of motorists and workers. Where night works are required, they will be undertaken from Sunday to Thursday between 7pm and 5am. Council will provide an update to the community prior to the start of any night investigation works.
The timing of any potential future upgrade is dependent on future budget allocation.
If you live or work near this intersection, you may see surveyors on site and you could experience some additional noise while the surveyors are using machinery to undertake potholing to identify underground services.
Council will make every effort to minimise the impact of the works on the community as much as possible and would like to thank local residents in advance for their patience and understanding during these important works.
