Getting you home quicker and safer | Brisbane City Council

Brisbane is growing, and Brisbane City Council is investing over $2 billion to get you home quicker and safer. Right now, we’re upgrading major corridors like Kingsford Smith Drive and the Inner City Bypass, and improving more than 1000 local roads, right across Brisbane. We’re creating dedicated bikeways and expanding the CityCat fleet, introducing new, express CityCats.

We are working to deliver Australia’s most modern public and active transport, including the 21 km high-frequency Brisbane Metro. This investment in world-class public transport means more buses and travel options for the suburbs, fewer cars on the road, and quicker more comfortable trips.

We’re getting you home quicker and safer. It’s all part of the plan.
