New Transport Plan for Brisbane

Brisbane City Council is preparing a new Transport Plan for Brisbane to ensure we have a connected, flexible and sustainable transport network that helps maintain our quality of life into the future.

The plan will guide how Brisbane’s transport network will grow and adapt over the next 20 years and beyond to make Brisbane Australia’s most liveable city.

Have your say

Council is currently working on the plan, and will be engaging with the community and industry over the coming months to ensure everyone has an opportunity to have their say on Brisbane’s transport future.

Transport Plan for Brisbane 2008-2026

The current Transport Plan for Brisbane 2008-2026 (TP4B) was released in 2008 to accommodate city growth through to 2026. The plan reflects Council’s commitment to balancing investment in public transport, walking and cycling with an efficient road network.

The majority of projects listed in the current plan are either completed or substantially underway.
