Brisbane City Council is delivering a free Skills Shot workshop. Skills Shot is an intensive business training session aimed at helping small business owners to boost their business performance.
Amanda Cole and Tara Jacobsen from Growth Education Institute will facilitate a workshop on:
- understanding the cash drivers in your business
- leveraging existing customers for growth
- driving business performance
- improving business profitability
- growing sales with your preferred customer
- learning and applying business basics.
A light breakfast will be served upon arrival.

With more than 20 years’ experience working closely with entrepreneurs from business start-up to maturity, Amanda Cole has seen her clients win awards, build strong and sustainable businesses and attain significant personal goals.
As a leadership coach and strategy facilitator with Spark Consultants, she has worked closely with business leaders to provide them with the tools to grow their business.
Tara Jacobsen is an experienced entrepreneur, business strategist, facilitator, and collective leadership specialist. She has more than 20 years’ experience in applying strategy to corporate learning and development, education, business growth and organisational development.
Tara is currently undertaking a PhD in Innovation and Strategy of Regional Entrepreneurship and lectures in Corporate Entrepreneurship at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the MBA program.
