Want to enrich your social circle, meet new like-minded people, and take action to do your bit for nature conservation in your local community? Join us to kick-off this inaugural planting event for social singles. Help restore native habitat, and meet new&nbsp; like-minded nature lovers. Participants will be asked to take part in ice-breakers, and speed-planting pairs to create new habitat for wildlife. Coffee and tea provided for mingling after the planting session. Maybe these plants won&#39;t be the only things that have blossomed come springtime! This inclusive and respectful event is for adults of all ages 18 years and over. <strong>Requirements:&nbsp;</strong>BYO sturdy gardening gloves. Wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure fully-enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring drinking water in a reusable bottle and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site. This activity will go ahead in light rain. Bring a raincoat if required. <strong>Meeting Point:</strong> Raven Street Reserve, Kinnerton Street entrance near cricket nets park, 35 Kinnerton Street, Chermside West, Qld, 4032. <strong>Notes:&nbsp;</strong>Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day. There are no public toilets at the Kinnerton Street meeting point. Public toilets are available at nearby Downfall Creek Bushland Centre via a ten-minute walk through the reserve. All adults must be booked in as participants. There is a maximum of two people per booking. Arrive ten minutes early to check in and confirm your booking. If you cannot attend this event, cancel your booking via Eventbrite.
