Victoria Park Party
10:00am to 3:00pm
Brisbane City Council is growing your Brisbane lifestyle by turning Victoria Park into a world-class parkland, giving you more to see and do in a clean and green Brisbane. Now is the time to share your big ideas on how we can evolve the existing space into an iconic destination for residents and visitors.
To celebrate our chance to create Brisbane's biggest new park in 50 years we're holding a party on Sunday 22 September, 10am-3pm.
There will be live music, food trucks, workshops, entertainers and lots of fun activities for kids. The fun will also include appearances from Dirt Girl and the artistic directors of Bluey will give talks and show episodes. Also enjoy Virtual Songlines – a VR experience where participants can experience what inner-city Brisbane and the surrounding area would have looked like through the lens of Aboriginal people many years ago.
The 18-hole golf course will be closed so come along and take up the opportunity to explore the entire site, enjoy the entertainment and then share your ideas, big or small.
Be in to win some great prizes just by discovering the park! There’s a family getaway to Tangalooma Island Resort or a Yalingbila whale watching tour to be won and more. Pick up and complete your passport to go in the draw.
Why not travel to the event using public transport, or walk or ride? The Inner Northern Busway stops off at Herston. Visit Translink to plan your trip.
