Their topics are ‘Working in the performing arts: making and presenting in Brisbane’ and ‘The business of being a creative entrepreneur!’ Charlie is CEO of Brisbane Festival. Each September, the Festival explodes across the city with a thrilling program of theatre, music, dance, circus, opera and major public events such as Sunsuper Riverfire. Brisbane Festival attracts an audience of around one million people every year. From 2013-18, Charlie was the General Manager of Circa Contemporary Circus where his leadership was instrumental in the organisation’s accelerated growth.   Deb’s dedication to performing arts has seen her working for over 20 years in the arts sector, and she is known as a driving force in Australian Circus. Deb has worked with many emerging and established artists and has a passion for improving the business skills of artists and building the value of the arts to non-artists.
