Nudgee Beach - Wetlands experience

Take a guided walk and learn about how amazing wetlands are and the epic journey our migratory shorebirds take as they fly from Siberia to the Yatsu Higata Tidelands, Japan and from Japan to Brisbane’s Boondall Wetlands.
Speak to volunteers and Environment Centre staff on how amazing wetlands are and what you can do to protect our endangered aviators.
Note: Please eat a light meal prior to the activity as there are no breaks during the walk.
- Volunteer guided walk at 8.30am, meet at the Nudgee Beach Foreshore
- community engagement, activity and wildlife contractor stalls from 8.30am-12.30pm
- free sausage sizzle from 10.30am-12.30pm.

Safety requirements apply and are a condition of entry.Wear secure, fully enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, drinking water, a light snack and a raincoat if required. The event will continue in light rain. Adults must accompany children throughout this event.
