Locating graves
The practice of marking numbers on gravestones was introduced in the late 1900s. As most of the graves at Lutwyche Cemetery are quite old, the majority of headstones do not have marked numbers. This can make finding graves at Lutwyche Cemetery difficult.
Council recommends you contact the Toowong Cemetery office by email to request a map. State the name of the deceased and the grave location.
Download a map
The cemetery area map may help locate a site. The map shows the portions, roads and buildings in the cemetery grounds. Within each portion, there could be hundreds and thousands of graves.
