Lord Mayor's Seniors Christmas Parties

The Lord Mayor's Seniors Christmas Parties are an annual tradition inviting Brisbane seniors to celebrate the festive season at Brisbane City Hall. 

In 2024 there will be 15 shows held across 6 days. Patrons can enjoy light refreshments before settling in for some quality entertainment.

These much-loved events feature a new line up every year with a range of entertainers performing traditional and contemporary Christmas songs.

These events proudly support the Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust.

Program schedule

This year there will be a morning and afternoon show each day from Monday 2 to Saturday 7 December. Evening shows will be held on Wednesday 4, Thursday 5 and Friday 6 December.

Auslan interpreted shows

This year, 5 shows will be professionally signed by Auslan interpreters. Guests will be seated at tables closest to the stage to ensure good sightlines.

Transport options

Drop off and parking

A pick-up and drop-off zone will be established on King George Square with access via the Ann Street side of Brisbane City Hall. This zone can only accommodate cars, taxis and minibuses. The drop off zone is exclusively for dropping off passengers to the event. It is a no standing zone and drivers are required to remain in their vehicle, unless assisting passengers.

Car parking

Paid, underground parking is available at Council’s King George Square Car Park. Vehicle height limit for this car park is 1.93 metres. Patrons with vehicles exceeding this height limit can park at Wilson Parking which also operates a paid car park close to Brisbane City Hall at 145 Ann Street. Public transport

Now it's even easier to get around with free off-peak travel for eligible senior go card holders on Brisbane buses, CityCats and ferries.
