About the project
For many years the Mt Coot-tha Quarry has provided Brisbane with asphalt aggregates for construction purposes, particularly for our local roads.
Quarrying is no longer undertaken at the Pine Mountain Quarry, it instead currently operates as a recycling facility.
While there’s still currently an important role for both quarries, we must now start planning for their future use. Council is committed to keeping Brisbane clean and green, making our city liveable and sustainable for future generations.

In the initial stage, Council would like to hear your ideas to help shape a vision for the future of these two quarries.
