Brisbane City Council and Telstra will be undertaking works to install underground services from the Kangaroo Point Bridge landing on the corner of Edward and Alice streets to the City Botanic Gardens.
Marine and land-based construction activities will continue at the Kangaroo Point site in March 2024, including ongoing bridge deck and abutment works, ongoing works along Scott Street and opening of the riverside shared pathway in C.T. White Park.

In addition to the new river crossing, the final design of the city-shaping Kangaroo Point Bridge project features two unique riverside dining venues, including an above-water restaurant and bar on the bridge, and a new riverside café at the city landing plaza.
The Breakfast Creek / Yowoggera Bridge and Lores Bonney Riverwalk extension is now open, providing an enhanced active transport link between the inner city and northern suburbs.
Brisbane City Council has appointed Connect Brisbane, led by BESIX Watpac, to design and construct the Kangaroo Point Bridge. Construction of the bridge will commence in late 2021, with expected completion by late 2023, subject to approvals.
