About the project
We are planning to complete important safety and connectivity upgrades along Curragundi Road in Jindalee as part of our Suburban Corridor Modernisation program.
We have been working closely with key stakeholders, local schools and our project team to investigate concerns within the corridor and identify suitable treatments to improve safety for people walking, riding and driving through the area.
Treatments across Curragundi Road will include:
- splitter islands to improve pedestrian crossing points and improve road safety
- relocating a pedestrian refuge and bus stop
- installing line marking
- upgrading kerb buildouts
- Minor turfing and landscaping works.
As part of the decision-making process for this project, a number of factors were considered to ensure the project balances the needs of the community and improves overall network efficiency, visibility and safety along this corridor.
Project timing
Construction is scheduled to start in mid-April and be complete in mid-2024, weather and site conditions permitting. This page will be updated with advance notification of works commencing. Works will occur between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We will provide more information closer to the start of construction.
