Council offers a reliable and rewarding career as a bus operator, with paid training, long‑term stability and flexibility. At the women’s bus driver career open days, you’ll hear directly from female drivers and trainers about what the job involves and what it’s like to work in the industry.

These free open days – at each of our depots around Brisbane - let you experience bus driving in a low‑pressure, supportive environment.

Eligibility

Women aged 21+ holding a current Australian open (3 years) driver licence are eligible to attend this event.

As this is a recruitment event, open days are not suitable for children.

Bus depot open day venues and dates

Women's bus driver career open days are being held on Saturday:

  • 28 March at Garden City Bus Depot
  • 2 May at Sherwood Bus Depot
  • 16 May at Eagle Farm Bus Depot.

Register

You must register to participate in an open day. You can choose from 2 sessions:

  • 8.30am-1.30pm
  • 12pm-5.10pm.
