Council owns and operates Bracalba Quarry (Moreton Bay Region) approximately 70 kilometres north of Brisbane. Scientific Analytical Services (SAS) Laboratory is a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited facility for chemical and biological analyses and sampling of water, sewerage, wastewater, soil and air.
SAS Laboratory was acquired by Queensland Urban Utilities in August 2012.
