City Parklands works with a number of contractors, suppliers and vendors to deliver a range of services and products. Volunteers are also engaged by City Parklands at Roma Street Parkland and South Bank Parklands for various roles.

Health and safety

City Parklands is committed to being a safe and healthy workplace for staff, contractors and volunteers and actively encourages safe working practices.

Before commencing work at either parkland, contractors and suppliers, including those working on events are required to undertake and pass workplace health and safety online induction specific to the City Parklands policies and procedures and the parkland they are working in.

Tenders

City Parklands advertises all current publicly listed tenders on the Brisbane City Council website and in local newspapers.

Expressions of interest for mobile vending operators are advertised every three years.

Volunteering

Roma Street Parkland volunteers play an important role in maintaining the beautiful garden, driving the Parkland Explorer and welcoming visitors. For more information, or to apply to become a volunteers, contact City Parklands by phone on 1300 137 468.

The South Bank Visitor Information and Booking Centre (SBVIBC) is also supported by a dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteers greet visitors via the Visitor Information Centre, promote and sell the Vistor Centre's services and assist at South Bank's many wonderful events each year.
