Brisbane City Council is committed to easing cost of living pressures while ensuring we deliver the services, facilities and infrastructure that make our city the most liveable in Australia. The budget responds to the rising cost of living by reducing the price of green waste recycling bins, slashing pool entry fees to just $2 per person this summer, reducing and waiving fees for local event organisers, continuing to provide free off-peak travel for seniors, plus so much more.

The budget also outlines our ongoing delivery of major projects including the Brisbane Metrogreen bridges and the transformation of Victoria Park - projects that will help cater for the city’s growth and enhance our outdoor lifestyle.

Victoria Park

The transformation of Brisbane’s largest new park will reach an important milestone with the release of the Victoria Park / Barrambin Master Plan and a budget allocation of $141 million over the next four years to make it happen.

Plans for Victoria Park will see the creation of a natural retreat and urban park filled with adventure, discovery and reconnection.
