New plans are being developed for 7th Brigade Park in Chermside (located at 375 Hamilton Road). The plans include future off-road cycling improvement and informal sports improvements.

The draft concept plan reflects your feedback from November 2025. It explores ways to improve 7th Brigade Park. The plan aims to keep the park welcoming and well loved. It will support active and healthy lifestyles for the Chermside community.

During community engagement in November 2025, we heard what you value most about the park. You told us:

  • you value the park's leafy character and shade
  • you value the park as a place to gather, play and exercise
  • it is important to feel safe and comfortable in the park.

You also suggested activities and recreational opportunities you would enjoy at 7th Brigade Park.

We’re now finalising your feedback to help inform the final concept plan and what comes next for the park upgrade.

In November 2025, we invited the community to share ideas and feedback. Your feedback helped inform the draft concept design for 7th Brigade Park.

Your feedback highlighted key themes and areas to consider, including:

  • providing new recreational activities for different age groups to enjoy
  • retaining the much loved environment especially the trees.

The draft concept plan

The draft concept plan for 7th Brigade Park explores potential ideas and opportunities to guide future improvements, including:
