We’re improving Abbeville Street Park in Upper Mount Gravatt to support a growing community with quality places to play, relax and connect.

New plans are being developed for future improvements to create more to see and do at Abbeville Street Park in Upper Mount Gravatt. The draft concept plan reflects what you told us and explores opportunities to enhance Abbeville Street Park as a welcoming, well‑loved space for the Upper Mount Gravatt community, now and into the future.

During the initial community engagement in November 2025, we heard how much you value the park’s leafy character and popular dog off leash areas, its role as a place for families and friends to gather and play and the importance of feeling safe and comfortable when spending time there. You also suggested activities and recreational opportunities you would enjoy at Abbeville Street Park.

We’re now inviting you to have your say on the draft concept plan and what comes next for the park.

In November 2025, we invited the community to share ideas and feedback to help inform the draft concept design for Abbeville Street Park.

Your feedback highlighted key themes and areas to consider, including:

  • A new toilet block to support parties and social gatherings
  • upgrading the playground equipment for increased play value
  • Accessible pathways for recreation and connection
  • Multi use sports and fitness facilities.
