Initial consultation
In our early engagement in November 2025, you told us how much you value the park, facilities and playground area. You also shared helpful ideas about how the space could be improved.
Draft concept plan feedback
We used this feedback to develop a draft concept plan. We shared the draft concept plan with the community during consultation in June 2026.
The draft explored a range of ideas to guide future improvements including:
- upgrading the playground equipment for increased play value
- accessible pathways for recreation and connection
- multi-use sports and fitness facilities
- a new toilet block to support parties, social gatherings and longer stays.
Feedback from the consultation included:
- support for seating, BBQ areas and picnic facilities, as well as the addition of bins and water bubblers
- suggestions to address flooding in the dog park area and along the paths
- suggestions to include more recreation options, including a rebound wall, playground improvements and fitness equipment
- mixed views about including an amenities block:
- many supporting that it would allow visitors to stay and enjoy the park for longer
- others expressed concerns about the potential for anti-social behaviour or vandalism
- concerns about where the block will be located were also noted.
We aim to balance local priorities with broader community benefits, both now and into the future.
