We've completed installation of creative lighting along Caxton Street in Petrie Terrace to support its role as an exciting city destination.

  • Enhance nighttime vibrancy. 

A new layer of creative lighting was added along Caxton Street between Petrie Terrace and Chapel Street to enhance the nighttime vibrancy of the precinct.

Works included:

  • installation of 3 programmable, colour-changing, festoon lighting strands suspended over Caxton Street
  • related site electrical works.

The lighting strands are supported by cables spanning over Caxton Street that connect to several existing street poles.

This project was delivered in partnership with the Australian Government’s Investing in Our Communities Program.

  • October 2025: Start of construction works. 
  • December 2025: Project completion.
