City Reach Boardwalk rehabilitation – Brisbane City
The rehabilitation works on the City Reach Boardwalk at Admiralty Towers II in Brisbane City are now complete.
The City Reach Boardwalk rehabilitation program has been ongoing since 2014, carrying out essential structural repairs to extend the life of this important riverside connection.
These recent rehabilitation works near Admiralty Towers II started in June 2025 and mark the final stage of this program.
Works to repair the boardwalk panels included:
- high-pressure cleaning and algae removal
- concrete repairs and corrosion protection
- installing structural support beams and brackets
- applying protective coatings to concrete and steel elements to extend the structural life.
While these rehabilitation works are now complete, we’ll continue to monitor the boardwalk and carry out maintenance as needed to keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone.
