Cleveland Street Local Access Network Improvements - Stones Corner
We've completed works to improve safety and accessibility on Cleveland Street and Zillah Street in Stones Corner.
Our Local Access Network Improvements program delivers important upgrades across Brisbane suburbs. These works improve safety and accessibility for all users, especially pedestrians.
As part of this project, we:
- installed a pedestrian refuge island on Cleveland Street near Jeavons Lane
- upgraded kerb ramps and installing concrete islands on either side of Cleveland Street at the new crossing point
- installed a new streetlight on Cleveland Street near the new crossing point
- installed a pedestrian refuge splitter island on Zillah Street near Cleveland Street
- removed 1 small tree and some small shrubs to allow for the construction of a new kerb ramp
- painted associated line marking, including yellow ‘No Stopping’ lines.
