Council’s Congestion Busting Projects deliver minor changes on roads with higher traffic volumes. These improvements help people get around Brisbane more quickly and improve safely.

We choose project locations by looking at things like safety, visibility, and how they’ll improve the overall traffic flow.

This project includes:

  • installing new road markings, directional traffic arrows and chevron traffic islands on Creek Street and Wickham Terrace near the Ann Street intersection
  • replacing road markings at the Ann Street and Creek Street intersection.

  • Late 2026: Construction anticipated to start.
