Dandenong Road intersection upgrade - Jamboree Heights

Council has upgraded the Dandenong Road, Sirocco Street and Central Avenue intersection to improve road safety for all users.

Council's upgrade of the Dandenong Road, Sirocco Street and Central Avenue intersection in Jamboree Heights is complete.

Council jointly funded the works in conjunction with the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery program.

The upgrade included:

  • installation of traffic lights and signalised pedestrian crossing facilities
  • removal of the northbound, left-turn slip lane on Dandenong Road
  • construction of a new raised zebra crossing on Central Avenue
  • upgraded centre medians 
  • extension of the southbound bike lane on Dandenong Road
  • upgraded kerbs and footpaths
  • new asphalt, line markings and minor landscaping works.
