Davenport Street pedestrian improvements - Kedron

Link copied

We’re planning improvements to pedestrian connectivity and safety on Davenport Street at Rode Road, Kedron.

Our Local Access Network Improvements program delivers small but important upgrades. These upgrades help make our suburbs safer and more accessible, particularly for pedestrians.

As part of this project, we will be:

  • installing a pedestrian island on Davenport Street to make crossing the road easier and safer
  • upgrading the existing kerb ramps to improve pedestrian accessibility
  • landscaping, including installing turf
  • installing new line marking, including yellow no stopping lines.

You won’t be able to park on the street where yellow no stopping lines are marked. This is needed to keep sightlines clear at the crossing. It will also ensure traffic lanes remain wide enough for vehicles to pass safely. These changes will support the new traffic island.

  • Late 2026: Construction is anticipated to start.
