Council is developing a concept plan to guide the delivery of a playground upgrade for Dorrington Park. 

We will engage with the community, local residents and visitors to invite feedback. The feedback will be used to inform the preparation of a concept plan for the playground upgrade.

This project is part of Council’s commitment to enhancing and maintaining more than 2180 parks across the city. It helps residents get outdoors and enjoy our city’s unique, sub-tropical lifestyle. 

The initial stage of community engagement is now closed for feedback on the draft concept plan. 

Council has closed the initial stage of community engagement. We thank everyone who took part and shared feedback on the draft concept plan.

We’ll use this feedback to help prepare a concept plan for the playground upgrade. We’ll check back in with the community in early 2026.

  • Late 2025: Invite community and key stakeholder feedback.
  • Early 2026: Prepare and release final concept plan for playground upgrade.
  • Mid-late 2026: Construction of playground upgrade.
