Finsbury Park consolidated clubhouse - Newmarket
Council is constructing a consolidated clubhouse at Finsbury Park in Newmarket for community use.
A new fit-for-purpose consolidated clubhouse at Finsbury Park in Wilston is being constructed. We've consulted with Gold Crest Cricket Club and Commerical Hockey Club (CHC) as part of ongoing flood recovery efforts.
The new clubhouse will include:
- 2 change rooms
- a clubroom with canteen and bar facilities
- storage for sports and maintenance equipment
- office space
- enhanced accessibility and amenities
- deck areas and spectator seating
The building footprint similar to the existing buildings on Finsbury Street.
Gold Crest Cricket Club – Net installation
The Gold Crest Cricket Club are undertaking works to install new practice cricket nets next to the newly built clubhouse. These works started in late April 2025 and are expected to be completed in June 2025.
These works are not part of the consolidated clubhouse works.

- increased construction vehicle movements and parking near the clubhouse
- increased levels of noise, dust, and low-level vibration.
