Council is proposing to upgrade the intersection at Hellawell Road and Jackson Road in Sunnybank Hills.

We used your feedback to develop a draft concept plan. We shared the draft concept plan with the community during consultation in June 2026. Your feedback will help us understand local needs and improve the design.

The proposed project design includes:

  • new traffic lights at the intersection
  • pedestrian crossings on all four sides of the intersection.

The proposed upgrade would also deliver:

  • new sections of footpath
  • better access to nearby bus stops
  • road resurfacing and line marking
  • minor landscaping improvements. 

We want to hear how you use this intersection and what you think about the proposed upgrade which includes the installation of traffic signals. Your feedback will help us understand local needs and improve the design.
