Leacroft Road Park – Visitor node upgrades

Link copied

We’re upgrading the access road and car park at Leacroft Road Park (Koala Bushlands Park) in Burbank. The upgrades will improve safety and accessibility for all users.

As part of these works, we will be:

  • constructing a new 2-way access road, with circular turning point
  • improving the site’s car park with line marking and kerbing, including the installation of 2 disabled parking bays
  • creating a new bus/loading zone
  • installing dedicated horse-float parking bays
  • providing sections of concrete path to improve connectivity and accessibility.

  • Mid-March 2026: Leacroft Road Park closes temporarily as works begin on site upgrades.
  • Mid-May 2026: Project completion and Leacroft Road Park reopens for use.

Leacroft Road Park, located off Alperton Street, will be closed for approximately 8 weeks. This is to keep everyone safe while we carry out the improvement works to the entry road and car park.

Construction will take place Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 4.30pm, pending weather and site conditions.

Temporary fencing and signs will be in place.

Some noise and increased vehicle movement is also expected during work hours. We will work to minimise disruption where possible.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause for visitors to the site. We look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the upgraded facilities.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience whilst we deliver these improvement works.

Council is committed to keeping the local community informed of how these works will impact them.
