Lucy and Cullimore Streets pedestrian improvements - Bald Hills

Link copied

We’re planning pedestrian connectivity and safety improvements on Lucy Street and Cullimore Street in Bald Hills.

This location was identified as needing safety improvements. The improvements will support safer pedestrian crossings near the local school and provide clearer traffic guidance through the intersection.

This work is part of our Local Access Network Improvement program. The program delivers minor upgrades that improve safety and accessibility. These small changes can make a big difference in local streets.

This project will include:

  • installing a pedestrian island to make crossing Lucy Street easier and safer
  • improving the alignment of the existing pedestrian island at Cullimore Street
  • upgrading existing kerb ramps to improve pedestrian accessibility
  • relocating the existing bus stop from Lucy Street to Bald Hills Road
  • undertaking landscaping, including installing turf and concreting footpaths
  • installing new line marking, including yellow no stopping lines.

  • Late 2026: Construction is anticipated to start.
