Council is reviewing feedback on potential designs to improve safety for all road users at the Lutwyche Road and Harris Street intersection.
The intersection has a history of traffic accidents. Causes include heavy traffic, long waits, and poor visibility turning right from Harris Street into Lutwyche Road.
In late 2024, we shared 3 potential solutions to improve safety at this intersection. The designs outlined below have different features, benefits, and considerations. All designs propose removing the right turn from Harris Street into Lutwyche Road.
Following community consultation, we're now working to review feedback and undertake further technical investigations.
A final design and construction is dependent on future budget allocation and city-wide priorities.
