An improved Brisbane transport network.

We know that demand for transport along Montague Road and the surrounding road network is increasing as the area grows. As a result, Brisbane City Council is undertaking a transport study.

The study will establish a vision for this corridor. It will also identify a strategic direction for future improvements. This will help us make informed decisions about future transport investment in this area.

We released a draft transport study in 2024 for community feedback. We're now considering this feedback alongside technical investigations and input to finalise the transport study. We expect to be able to release the final study online in 2026.

This planning study is a joint initiative of Council and the Queensland Government.

This study will inform future decisions for the Montague Road corridor and surrounding road network. Future project stages will depend on available funding. Funding will be allocated based on citywide priorities.
