Montague Road transport study - West End and South Brisbane

We're developing a vision and strategic direction for the future of the Montague Road corridor in South Brisbane and West End.

We know that demand for transport along Montague Road and the surrounding road network is increasing as the area grows. As a result, Brisbane City Council is doing a transport study to establish a vision and strategic direction for this corridor. This will help us make informed decisions about future transport investment in this area.

We released a draft transport study in 2024 for community feedback. We're now considering this feedback alongside technical investigations and input to finalise the transport study. We expect to be able to release the final study online in mid 2025.

This planning study is a joint initiative of Council and the Queensland Government.

We're reviewing community feedback and working to finalise the transport study. We expect to be able to release the final study in mid 2025.

This study will inform decision making for future projects along the Montague Road corridor and surrounding network, with next steps dependent on future allocation of funding against city wide priorities.
