    students, early learning centre children and their families.
  • Encourage slower and safer vehicle movements in the area.
  • Improve visibility between pedestrians and oncoming traffic.  

Council's Safe School Travel Infrastructure program which focuses on delivering safety and accessibility improvements on roads near schools for all users, particularly for pedestrians.

This project will include:

  • installing a pedestrian splitter island and kerb build-out to make crossing Blomfield Road easier and safer
  • undertaking minor landscaping, including installing turf
  • introducing new line marking, including yellow no stopping lines.

  • Late 2026: Construction is anticipated to start.
