Rode Road Local Access Network Improvements - Wavell Heights

Link copied

We’ve completed minor upgrades to make the Rode Road slip lane safer for pedestrians, local residents and businesses.

Our Local Access Network Improvements program delivers small but important upgrades to help make our suburbs safer and more accessible, particularly for pedestrians.

This project included:

  • building out the kerb on the western side of the road at the corner of Rode Road and the Rode Road slip lane
  • upgrading the kerb ramp on the north-west side of the intersection
  • installing new turf near the kerb ramp
  • installing new line marking, including a yellow no stopping line.

We removed one on-street parking space next to Rode Road Park, marked with a yellow no stopping line.

This change will give longer vehicles enough room to safely turn right into the slip lane around the built-out kerb.
