Sandgate Library roof replacement - Sandgate

Link copied

Roof replacement works at the Sandgate Library, located within the Sandgate Town Hall building, on Seymour Street, Sandgate are now complete.

The Sandgate Town Hall building was built in 1912. It is a historically significant icon listed on the Queensland State Heritage Register.

This project preserved the facility for all users by replacing the roof. It also repaired minor-water damaged areas of the library from water leaks.

While replacing the library roof, we also painted sections of the Town Hall roof.

This project included:

  • upgrading the roof drainage system
  • replacing the roof sheeting on the library
  • painting the existing galvanised roof sheeting in the Town Hall
  • replacing roof sealants
  • removing vegetation from brickwork walls.
