Construction works to improve safety at the Tilley Road and Grassdale Road intersection at Gumdale are now complete.

Benefits
  • Reduced crashes and improved safety for all road users.
  • A safer and lower-speed environment.

Works included:

  • installing tactile alert strips along 120 metres of Grassdale Road to give drivers an early warning as they approach the intersection
  • a new dynamic flashing sign on Grassdale Road to alert drivers as they approach the intersection
  • installing an extended kerb to maximise visual impact of the prepare to stop warning sign
  • new signage, LED street lighting and line marking on Grassdale Road.

This project was proudly funded by the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.
