We’re making important changes to improve safety at the Tilley Road and Grassdale Road intersection at Gumdale.

Benefits
  • Reduce crashes and improve safety for all road users.
  • Install treatments to encourage a safer and lower-speed environment.

Works will include:

  • installing tactile alert strips along 120 metres of Grassdale Road to give drivers an early warning as they approach the intersection
  • installing a ‘Prepare to Stop’ warning sign with dynamic flashing lights, which will activate when vehicles are detected on Grassdale Road
  • installing an extended kerb
  • upgrading the intersection with new LED lighting
  • new line marking on Grassdale Road.

This project is proudly funded by the Australian Government’s Black Spots Program.

  • October 2025: Project introduction.
  • Early December 2025: Start of construction.
  • Late December: End of construction.
