Windsor Road corridor improvements – Red Hill

Link copied

Council is undertaking investigations to inform potential future improvements along Windsor Road in Red Hill/Kelvin Grove.

We’re looking at ways to make Windsor Road in Red Hill / Kelvin Grove safer and easier to use, especially for people walking in the area.

This road is well used by the community, connecting people to local shops, homes, public transport, school, university and recreational spots, as well as helping travellers reach nearby suburbs.

As part of Brisbane’s Suburban Corridor Modernisation program, we’ll consider small but meaningful upgrades. These could include:

  • minor intersection safety improvements
  • upgrading pedestrian crossings
  • adding kerb build outs
  • updating line markings
  • improving signage
  • minor footpath upgrades.

We invited your feedback to better understand your experiences walking, riding and driving along Windsor Road.

Our online survey and pin on a map tool was open from 17 November to 14 December 2025.

We’re now reviewing this feedback, alongside technical data and design standards, to help shape potential future improvements for residents, visitors, commuters and students.

We’re still in the early planning phase of the project. Any future construction will depend on the design progress and the availability of funding.

We expect to be able to share what we heard from the community in early 2026.
