Wittonga Park is a popular local park in The Gap. There are opportunities to upgrade the playground and picnic area to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the growing Gap community. 

We’re looking at ways to make the park even better for the future. This will ensure the park reflects the growing needs of the community.

This project is one of the many ways we are creating more to see and do in the suburbs. It supports our goal of being a healthy and active city.

We listened to the community during community engagement and the feedback will help us better understand what’s needed and how we can improve it. The feedback will then help us create and shape the draft concept plan for the upgrades. 

We have now closed the initial stage of community engagement and would like to thank everyone who participated and provided their feedback on the draft concept plan. 

  • November 2025: Community engagement to seek input about project area.
  • Early 2026: Share draft concept plan.
  • Mid 2026: Finalise concept plan.
