The Wynnum, Manly and Lota foreshores are key Brisbane leisure and lifestyle destinations. This project supports Council’s commitment to protecting and improving Brisbane’s natural areas. It also promotes active and healthy lifestyles for residents and visitors.

The master plan includes opportunities to:

  • improve parks, recreation opportunities and community spaces
  • provide better swimming experiences and water access, including a concept to upgrade the Wynnum Wading Pool Park
  • strengthen connectivity with better pathways and active transport connections
  • improve shade, trees and climate resilience
  • balance improvements to the foreshores with protecting the environment and open space.

  • Saturday 7 November 2026, 6am-12pm at the Manly Farmers Markets
  • Wednesday 11 November 2026, 2-4pm at Wynnum Wading Pool Park
  • Monday 16 November 2026, 2-4pm at Lota Camping Reserve.

After engagement closes, we’ll review your feedback alongside technical requirements. We expect to finalise and share the master plan in early 2027.

Your insights alongside our technical and planning requirements helped to shape the draft Wynnum, Manly and Lota Foreshores Revitalisation Master Plan. 

  • Early to mid-2025: Invite community and key stakeholder input.
  • Mid-2025 to mid to late 2026: Prepare draft master plan and invite community perspectives. 
  • Early 2027: Finalise the master plan.
