Link copied

Works to upgrade the Wynnum Road and Hemmant–Tingalpa Road intersection are complete.

The upgrade included a range of improvements to improve safety and movement through the intersection.

Works included:

  • installing new traffic signals with signalised pedestrian crossing facilities
  • modified centre islands on Wynnum Road and dedicated turn pockets on all approaches
  • dedicated signalised U‑turn pockets for vehicles travelling in both directions on Wynnum Road
  • a new shared path along Hemmant–Tingalpa Road
  • upgraded footpaths and kerb ramps.

The project will now move into a maintenance period where we’ll monitor the site and address any defects, if required. Thank you for your patience while works were underway.

This project was jointly funded by the Australian Government through the Roads to Recovery Program and Brisbane City Council.
