Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Round Table

Brisbane is a diverse city with a wide variety of cultures, languages and religions. The Lord Mayor recognises that Brisbane’s future prosperity is dependent on a strong, vibrant, growing and profitable business sector, which promotes inclusive-business to the wider community.
The Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Round Table acts as an independent advisory body that provides business leaders, decision-makers, opinion leaders and key stakeholders from Brisbane’s multicultural community with an opportunity to discuss issues that they believe need addressing to ensure the economic advancement of Brisbane.
This is achieved through promotion of an economic environment that helps multicultural and international businesses to operate efficiently and grow through:
- provision of coordinated business related assistance, mentoring, referral and advice
- addressing both opportunities and issues relating to business amongst Brisbane’s multicultural community
- providing a platform to tap into and promote the business and entrepreneurial acumen of Brisbane’s multicultural community
- encouraging Brisbane’s multicultural community to participate in relevant Lord Mayor business missions and business matching opportunities
- tapping into Brisbane’s local expatriate community to promote foreign inwards investment and business development.
