Sandgate has a relaxed, healthy, village lifestyle and is one of Brisbane’s most picturesque bayside towns. 

Council has worked with local businesses in Sandgate to develop a Local Business and Destination Plan. This collaborative work, known as a Local Business Partnership Initiative, identifies opportunities for improving local investment to support the local economy.

Council has also delivered free Wi-Fi, CCTV, foreign language wayfinding signage, bud lighting, a heritage trail and refresh of the public realm improvements to further enhance Sandgate as a destination and thriving local business precinct.
