Changed traffic conditions for Tour de Brisbane 2026

Temporary road closures and changed traffic conditions will be in place from 4.30am to 2pm on Sunday 12 April across Brisbane, including the Go Between Bridge, Hale Street, Inner City Bypass, Kingsford Smith Drive, Legacy Way, Western Freeway and Centenary Highway.

  • Toowong
  • Mount Coot-tha 
  • Albion 
  • Hamilton 
  • Eagle Farm 
  • Northgate 
  • Pinkenba. 

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha will remain open, while the Visitor Information Centre and Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium will open at 1pm due to the event. 

The Mt Coot-tha Library will be closed.  

The Story Bridge will be fully closed between 9pm Saturday 11 April to 2pm Sunday 12 April to allow Council to conduct essential maintenance works underneath the bridge before and during the event. Footpaths will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists.

Police, traffic controllers and signage will be in place to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.

Diversion routes will be in place, with all detours and diversions clearly signed on the day.

Tolls on the Clem7 tunnel will be waived from 4.30am to 1pm Sunday 12 April 2026 during the full bridge closure associated with the Tour de Brisbane event.
